Software Application for Landscape Photographers

Stephen Trainor (http://stephentrainor.com) has created an Adobe AIR application that could be useful for photographers. The software is called "The Photographer's Ephemeris". For those of you who don't know what empheris means, it is a table showing the positions of a heavenly body on a number of dates in a regular sequence. This software denotes the sunrise, sunset and moonrise, moonset direction on a google map, along with elevation angle and azimuth, and sunrise, sunset times in a sidebar. It also indicates the phase and illuminations of the moon. You can search for particular locations. These locations can be stored for retrieval at later dates. You can retrieve data for the current day or day(s) in the future. There is also a glossary of terms which is helpful. The user interface is very well done. It is very easy to get around in the program. This is a very cool program that should be of help to photographers everywhere.
