Texas

Last week I traveled to Brownwood TX on business. Nice little town in central Texas, about 130 miles from Dallas. I haven't been to Texas since 1974 when I was a young 14. Anyway, it was brown and flat. Lots of mesquite trees. And Laurel oaks. A few green fields: Those that were fertilized and watered. It is a very sparsely populated area. I wish I could have taken more time for photos. The small towns were very picturesque. I saw numerous junked and abandoned cars, trucks, and tractors. Cows, lamas, goats, and sheep were abundant. Beautiful vistas. I think I could have spent a couple of days taking photographs - but I was their because of my day job. Maybe next time I can add a day or two for myself.
