Resurface a cutting pad

I use my cutting pad for more than cutting. I also paint an glue on it. It get pretty messy after awhile, making it hard to use as a cutting pad. I use a razor blade scraper to resurface the pad. I hold the blade perpendicular to the pad and scrape. It removes the built up glue and paint. A little green pad is removed as well, but not enough to matter. Now I have a relatively smooth surface again.
