Playful camera technique

Sometimes you need to play and see what happens. That's what this technique is about. Put the camera on the ground, rock, table; some suitable surface, and press the shutter. See what happens. I get some interesting closeups. Half the time the camera doesn't focus on anything interesting, but sometimes it does and you get an interesting shot. You can extend this technique by just holding the camera near your subject and shooting. Don't look through the viewfinder. Don't use liveview. Just take a chance and see what happens.
