Cloudy Thursday

We have clouds. But no rain. Just dry brown crisp earth and leaves. I once thought of starting a photography project based on the theme: Drought. But I can't seem to take any photos that depict it very well. Perhaps I just haven't thought about it enough. But we sure have plenty of examples around us. Low lake levels, dried up creek beds, dying trees, brown parched earth. Just how to make decent pictures?
