HP D5460 - Photo Black Ink wasn't printing

I have a HP Photosmart D5460 which I like. That is until the photo black ink stop printing. I went to the HP forum and saw where this is a common problem. One of the suggestions was to turn the printer upside down and bang on it (really). This didn't work for me. As a last resort, I took the print head out and ran water over it. Lot's of different colors filled my sink. I dried it thoroughly, and placed it back in the printer. It worked! I now have all colors working again. This is good, cause I just bought a bunch of cartridges. Hallelujah!
