Cold in SC

Ok. Cold in SC in not like cold in the frozen North, but it has been chilly. Yesterday at lunch I took my Oly E330 out to some shoals to grab some ice shots. The camera had been in the car for the morning. I put an extra battery in my coat pocket. After only taking 5-7 shots the battery in the camera was gone. I replaced it with the one in my pocket. Another 5-10 shots and it was gone. My point is that a cold camera and cold batteries limit the shooting time. Next time, I will warm the camera and batteries via the car heater before I go out and shoot in the cold. We'll see if I get better results.
